GPS tracking without a hardwired installation.

CoreOBD is a compact tracker built on Teltonika hardware. It draws power from your vehicle’s compatible OBD port and connects to the same Australian hosted CoreGPS platform as our hardwired trackers.

It suits everyday cars, utes and work vehicles where simple installation and easy removal matter. Use it for your own vehicle or manage several vehicles together.

Locate the compatible port, usually under the dashboard, and plug CoreOBD in securely. Make sure it is clear of pedals and controls.

Follow the supplied activation instructions, sign in to CoreGPS and name your vehicle in the dashboard.

Choose the zones and movement alerts you need. Access tracking from iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, or your computer.

Is CoreOBD right for your vehicle?

A simple fit for cars, utes and work vehicles where easy installation matters.

CoreOBD plugs into a compatible OBD port, the vehicle’s diagnostic socket, usually found under the dashboard. Check that there is enough space for the tracker and that it will sit clear of pedals, controls and trim.

There is no hardwiring, and you can unplug it and move it to another compatible vehicle when needed.

CoreGPS started because we wanted to make reliable GPS tracking more accessible to people tracking their own cars, caravans and equipment. Our experience comes from running a fleet management business that has been operating since 2011.

Every tracker we sell is running on our own vehicles first. If it doesn’t earn its keep in our driveway, it doesn’t go in the store.

So we chose hardware we would install in our own vehicles, built and operate our own platform here in Australia, and support it from Victoria.

Straight answers.

Will CoreOBD fit my vehicle?

CoreOBD needs a compatible OBD port with enough room for the device. These ports are commonly found under the dashboard in cars, utes and vans. Compatibility varies by vehicle, so contact us with the make, model and year if you are unsure before ordering.

Is installation complicated?

There is no hardwiring. Plug CoreOBD into the compatible OBD port and follow the activation instructions supplied with your tracker. Position it securely so it does not interfere with pedals, trim or driving.

Can I move it between vehicles?

Yes. Unplug it and move it to another compatible vehicle. Update the vehicle details in your account so your tracking records stay easy to identify.

Do I need a separate SIM card or mobile plan?

No. We include and manage the SIM card. It can connect to Telstra, Optus and Vodafone, with service depending on available mobile coverage.

Can I track one vehicle, or does it have to be a fleet?

You can track one vehicle or several. CoreOBD, CoreBasic and CoreTough can be managed together in the same CoreGPS account.

Does the app work on my phone or tablet?

The CoreGPS app supports iPhone, iPad and Android phones and tablets. You can also access the tracking platform from a web browser on your computer.

Is CoreOBD suitable for covert theft protection?

CoreOBD can be found and removed because it uses the vehicle’s OBD port. For a concealed installation, consider a hardwired CoreBasic or CoreTough tracker. If CoreOBD loses power or goes offline, alerts can help identify a gap in reporting.

What happens after the included tracking period?

You can renew the tracking service for $9 per month or $90 per year per tracker. Your chosen initial tracking period and SIM connectivity are included in the upfront price.
